I wake up tired. The last two days have worn me out, but I know the weather turns bad tomorrow and I can feel the hot sun calling me from outside.
I meet Marco at 10:20. Once again we skin up our skis at Forcella Grava (1784m).
This time we head towards the Passo del Tenente to enter the shoulder directly under the Civetta Bassa from East.
We spot some fresh ski tracks close to the entry canal !? ...Someone skied here only yesterday! Suprising because it is one of those unusual and unknown itineraries we had our eye on for a while, but it appears it had various candidates!
It's okay anyway: The snow conditons are good and we continue up the canal that takes us to the base of the magnificant vertical slope.
We try climbing up on skis as the gradient is not too steep, but after several slides on the iced snow we quickly wear our crampons.
