Rock climbing is progressing up a surface from one hold to another with only the use of our hands and feet to grip on solidly and gain altitude little by little.
Why climb? For some it is love of the outdoors and a chance to explore places where few have been. For others it's the challenge of achieving that previously impossible move. The health benefits of climbing include aerobic fitness, muscle toning, coordination and flexibility, as well as increased confidence as you learn to overcome the challenges of the vertical world.
The climbing technique used varies according to the type of rock and terrain. The variety is vast, and we learn to constantly use new techniques that allow us to achieve our objectives. Difficulty is determined by the amount of holds found on the route and its inclination. Other factors are its length, its exposure and isolation.
Rock climbing gear includes ropes, harness, helmet, climbing shoes, karabiners, and an endless variety of “safety” gear that secures us during the climb.
Our climbing proposals start from beginners courses in beautiful crags to guided mountain route ascents of differing difficulty and length, including itineraries of various days spent on the wall. We use vertical games to introduce climbing to children from 8 years old.
